Farm Gold In WOTLK – The Perfect Spot To Make Gold in WoW

If you want to farm gold in WOTLK but don’t want to be bothered too much, there is a solution. As you can probably see, when ever someone asks for help farming in Northrend, they are being told to go for crafting resources. Now, don’t get me wrong. That’s a very good tip. The best selling items on the AH right now are resources from Northrend. But what if you could make money without having to sell anything at the AH?

I personally don’t like having to farm and sell the same things that most people are because I feel like I’m wasting time. I spend hours to farm some ingredients just to put them for sale for a very low price because other people farmed them as well.

I wanted a spot where the amount of gold I make is directly proportional to the amount of time I spend there. I didn’t want to spend 5 hours each day just to make 500g or something. So I started looking for a place to farm something different, and I found it, a good place to farm gold in WOTLK.

In West Storm Peaks you will find Valkyrion. This camp has some very special mobs named Nascent Val’kyrs. What’s special about these is that they have a 100% drop rate of a grey item called Dissolved Soul Essence. One of these items sells for 65 silver to NPC merchants. Kill 10 of these mobs and you have 6.5 gold. Not only that, but they also drop items, coins and other trash loot. Not too bad of a spot to farm gold in WOTLK.

Kill these guys and the other mobs around that area and you will make a lot of money. Also, if you have Skinning, kill the Blighted Proto Drakes there too. When you skin them you will get Borean Leather and might also get an Icy Dragonscale or even Arctic Fur. These items are pretty rare so they sell for a lot of money.

But you can avoid any sorts of competition on the AH by just killing the Val’kyrs and the other mobs around there. Or you can do a little extra and get these other items from the Drakes and make even more money. So that’s how I farm gold in WOTLK.
